EXPO 2020 Dubai National Days are among the most important events of the World Expo.
Here, the nations present themselves to the spectators on the large stage at Al Wasl Plaza under the large dome.
Usually at noon, a ceremony with guests of honor and hoisting of the national flag takes place in the plaza.
After that there will be a parade to the pavilion.
Important for visitors to the EXPO:
The country pavilion is often closed during the day or entirely on Nation's Day as staff and personnel are locked in on parades and ceremonies.
Many also celebrate their Nation's Day externally at an event in the host city or surrounding area.
When do National Days take place?
Usually, the National Days at EXPO 2020 are celebrated on a country's national holiday.
Some countries that do not have a "real" national holiday, or where it does not fall during the six-month EXPO 2020 period, can receive and celebrate a "day of honor" in Dubai.
This also applies to Germany, for example the German National Day will be celebrated here on 29.11.2021.
